I apologize for staying away so long. Been busy getting my next book ready for publication. With a little luck on my side it will be ready mid-May. I'm also new at this, so I hope you have patience.
I really do have so many funny parenting stories to tell. But every time I start to type one it ends up - well - not being so funny. But here goes:
My oldest son, four at the time, was playing across the street at my neighbors house with their two girls, five and three. We already had dinner and they invited him over to play until the sun went down. It was mid-summer. When it started to get dark, my neighbor told Shawn it was time for him to leave because her girls were going to have a bath.
Shawn immediately went into their bathroom, stripped off his clothes and yelled, "I'm ready for my bath, too."
We do not live in the same neighborhood anymore, but whenever I see my previous neighbor she reminds me of this story and how she still tells people about it. I hope you enjoyed it!

Welcome 2013.
I thought I'd welcome in the new year with a story about myself so we can get to know one another. I grew up with my parents, one sister and three brothers in Weymouth Massachusetts. I am the second to youngest. I attended parochial elementary school, then public school from grade 7 - 12. I graduated from a Catholic College.
I loved to design and make my own clothing while in high school and college. Dreams of being a fashion designer filled my sleep. Dancing was also a passion of mine throughout my childhood and into my early twenties. it wasn't until my thirties that I began to write.
I spent much of my summers at the beach, both at home in Weymouth and at our family summer home in Duxbury. Today, I live fifteen minutes from that beloved family home, but it seems worlds away. I still go to the beach in the summer, only the family summer home is in Sandwich. I could never imagine not living near the ocean. Sitting at the beach, the sun on my face, the wind in my hair and a book in my hands is my dream day.
I won't say it was easy for my husband and I to raise four sons. Actually, we're still raising them. But I treasure every minute of each day with them. I hope to share some of my parenting stories with you. The good with the bad. The funny with the not so funny. Please stop by and share my experiences with me.
Have a safe and happy 2013,
Christine
